Maarten Keulemans

Maarten Keulemans is science editor at De Volkskrant. In that capacity, he has been reporting on climate science for some 25 years. In 2021, he was named Journalist of the Year. His publications include the book Exit Mundi: The End of the World: 75 Ways the World Could End.

Gabriela (Gaby) Alberola

Gabriela (Gaby) Alberola is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam and a member of the ClimateFiGS lab. Born and raised in Panama City, she combines her background in biology, environmental policy, and political science with her roots in activism to tackle global environmental challenges. Her research examines the distribution of climate finance in the Global South, focusing on effectiveness, equity, and transparency, as well as broader issues in international environmental politics, resilience, and justice. Gaby holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, along with degrees in Political Science, Watershed Science and Policy, and Environmental Biology.

Diana Frances

Diana Frances has a background in Political Philosophy and Environmental Ethics. She has joined WWF-Netherlands in 2021, after working as a Junior Academic at Utrecht University. Her role at WWF focuses on strengthening the mandate and capacity to deliver on inclusive, rights-based and locally led approaches to nature conservation, as well as promoting equitable partnerships with local actors and civil society organizations. Her lenses on power dynamics, human rights-based approaches and decoloniality strive to push the conservation agenda into a more transformative and inclusive vision for the planet.

Samir Ljuma

Samir Ljuma is an Macedonian cinematographer and producer. He worked as DOP on several documentary films and collaborated with various film directors from Macedonia and abroad. He received Sundance award for best cinematography, ASC Award, IMAGO, Cinema Eye Honor, IDA award for the double Oscar nominated movie Honeyland.
