WHAT YOU SEE...
...IS WHAT YOU GET
Excited for a night full of experimentation, innovative art practices and unusual ways of telling stories in film? Then feel welcome to one of the many programs film platform wysiwyg offers at Filmhuis Den Haag.
With the aim of expanding visitors' horizons in film and art, platform wysiwyg has found a home at Filmhuis Den Haag. Each month, they organize various film programs, each with a different focus. Whether you are interested in seeing works that rarely make it to the cinema screen, exploring the role of sound in film, or discussing unfinished film projects with strangers — every month there is something for you at one of wysiwyg's programs at Filmhuis Den Haag.
IN THIS PROGRAM
Glued & Screwed
short experiments on the big screen
Glued & Screwed presents carefully selected short films rarely—or never—seen in cinemas. Each month, the program weaves together local, international, and archival short films, and encourages dialogue between artists and audiences through post-screening conversations. Curated around artists and their work, each edition highlights their ideas, processes, and approaches to filmmaking. Glued & Screwed is for anyone curious about short film and artists’ moving image.
Sound As A Protagonist
an exploration of sound in film and the cinematic experience
Sound As A Protagonist highlights works by artists, filmmakers, and musicians where sound takes the front seat—driving narrative, shaping emotion, and deepening immersion. Featuring films, compositions, and standalone sound pieces, Sound As A Protagonist challenges audiences into a sensorial exploration of cinema beyond the visual.
<to be continued>
conversations on unfinished film projects
<to be continued> invites artists and filmmakers to come together and discuss unfinished film projects in an informal, moderated setting. By exchanging thoughts and perspectives, participants gain valuable feedback to further develop their works. Through an open call, makers can submit a work-in-progress along with questions they wish to explore with fellow participants, audiences, and professionals. <to be continued> is for anyone interested in sharing ideas and taking home fresh perspectives—whether you're starting out in filmmaking, already established, or simply enthusiastic about film and moving image.
