De Schimmen van Rotterdam (Felat Erkozan) - "The Specters of Rotterdam" is a short film focusing on urban reconstruction, memory, and alienation. The film explores Rotterdam city, which was devastated during the Nazi bombardment of World War II. Weaving together archival materials with contemporary footage gives the film a perspective on the city's evolution and paints a portrait of a city whose heart has been ripped out.
5000 MILES: In Tall Buildings (Bob Demper) - In a grimy Manhattan apartment, 30-year-old Donny is recovering from a burnout he got working at a large asset management firm. What seems to be a swift reintegration, soon turns into a very intimate relation with his employer.
