ROOTS in Motion #4
ROOTS in Motion – where local stories come to life on the big screen!

Supporting local filmmakers is at the heart of what we do. In addition to the annual ROOTS Film Festival, we're expanding our efforts with ROOTS in Motion—a year-round platform dedicated to film screenings, dynamic discussions, Q&A sessions, and valuable networking opportunities.
We warmly invite you to be part of the inaugural ROOTS in Motion by sharing your creative work with us. Whether it's a short fiction film, documentary, or music video, we’re eager to see your submissions.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of local filmmaking. We can't wait to welcome you to ROOTS in Motion!
THE FOLLOWING FILMS HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR ROOTS IN MOTION #4
Wormonomics (Charlotte van Winden): Wormonomics satirically explores the underground world of earthworms to critique capitalism, environmental exploitation, and economic inequality.
IRI (Pyotr Goloub, Martina Dabbico Allegra Canciatto): IRI presents an alternative history of humanity through rapidly shifting relics, questioning what will remain after us.
Where is the Bride of the Nile? (Roger Anis): Where is the Bride of the Nile follows a fisherman reviving ancient myths while tackling modern environmental challenges on the Nile.
Memories of what never was (Laura Flethe): Memories of What Never Was blends reality and fiction in a poetic search for a lost father through grief, memory, and imagination.
