Frank
An aspiring musician joins an experimental band led by a man who never takes off his giant papier-mâché head.
Aspiring musician Jon gets the chance of a lifetime when he joins the eccentric experimental band Soronprfbs, led by the enigmatic Frank, who never takes off his oversized papier-mâché head. Invited to record an album in a remote cabin, Jon finds himself caught between the band's unconventional creative process and his own dreams of musical success. As tensions rise, he begins to question what it really means to make music — and who gets to take centre stage.
Getting the Band Back Together
Music brings us together. Whether that’s from Amsterdam to The Hague, from one end of the Grote Marktstraat to the other, or in a high school bathroom, outside the closed doors of your favourite band’s concert, or at a barn with vampires lurking outside. That's why this November, Filmhuis Den Haag, Melkweg and PAARD are striking the same chord to present GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER: a joint film programme celebrating bands in all shapes, sizes and genres.
