Pawel Pawlikovski
Cold War
A passionate, turbulent love story unfolds across borders, decades and the divided landscape of Cold War Europe.
In post-war Poland, musician Wiktor meets the young singer Zula, and the two fall in love. Despite their powerful attraction, they are fundamentally different. Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, their turbulent relationship takes them from Poland to Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris. Political divisions, personal ambitions and their own contradictions repeatedly drive them apart, yet their connection endures. A sweeping love story about desire, freedom and a passion that refuses to be contained.
