💥 ENTER THE SAFDIE-VERSE 💥
COMING TO YOU FAST - NOV AND DEC 25
With The Smashing Machine on the horizon and the infamous Marty Supreme creeping closer, we thought it was the perfect moment to dive back into the wild, high-stakes world of the Safdie Brothers.
Throughout November and into mid-December, we’re bringing two of their finest (and some of our all-time favorites) back to the big screen: Good Time and Uncut Gems. Raw, relentless, and pulsing with chaos. Alongside these (in our opinion) modern classics, we’ll screen two films that deeply influenced the Safdies’ signature style — the stressy, shouty, and cinéma vérité energy that made their work so unmistakable. Those blueprints? Martin Scorsese’s nocturnal odyssey After Hours and Robert Altman’s gambler’s fever dream California Split.
Trace the lines of inspiration yourself, and see how one generation’s chaos gave birth to another’s.
