After fleeing with her newborn daughter to an isolated village, a young mother finds herself confronted by the mysterious white figures haunting the surrounding woods.
Young Frieda travels to a remote Dutch village with her newborn daughter after fleeing her violent husband. There she encounters white figures in the mist and begins to believe that the local legend of the witte wieven may be connected to what is happening around her. As the villagers react with fear and hostility, Frieda seeks refuge in an abandoned house near the woods. Her attempts to protect herself and her child lead her deeper into the supernatural forces surrounding the village.
De jonge Frieda vlucht met haar pasgeboren dochter voor haar gewelddadige echtgenoot naar een afgelegen Nederlands dorp. Daar krijgt ze te maken met witte gedaantes in de mist en begint ze te vermoeden dat de lokale legende van de witte wieven verband houdt met wat er om haar heen gebeurt. Terwijl de dorpsbewoners angstig en vijandig op haar reageren, zoekt Frieda haar toevlucht in een verlaten huis aan de rand van het bos. Haar pogingen om zichzelf en haar kind te beschermen brengen haar steeds dieper in de bovennatuurlijke gebeurtenissen rond het dorp.
