Una mujer fantástica - Global Forum
Na de plotselinge dood van haar vriend wordt Marina, een trans vrouw en zangeres, geconfronteerd met vijandigheid van zijn familie en argwaan van de autoriteiten.
Een jonge vrouw, serveerster en aspirant-zangeres, heeft haar toekomst al voor zich uitgestippeld samen met haar oudere vriend. Wanneer hij plotseling komt te overlijden, wordt ze geconfronteerd met de afwijzing van zijn familie en een samenleving die haar identiteit niet accepteert. Ze wordt uitgesloten van het rouwproces en moet vechten voor haar recht om te rouwen en zichzelf te zijn. In haar zoektocht naar erkenning en respect komt haar persoonlijke kracht op de proef.
Alejandra Ortiz verzorgt op 28 oktober de inleiding bij de film.
A young woman, a waitress and aspiring singer, has her future mapped out alongside her older partner. When he suddenly passes away, she is confronted with the rejection of his family and a society that does not accept her identity. She is excluded from the mourning process and must fight for her right to grieve and to be herself. In her quest for recognition and respect, her personal strength is put to the test.
