Makoto is a typical teenage girl who usually just hangs out with her friends. One day, on her way to her aunt's, she is nearly hit by a train in a rush. At the very last moment, however, she jumps back in time to the moment before the accident. She immediately uses her new gift to relive every minor inconvenience: from bad exam results to awkward declarations of love. But when confronted with the consequences of manipulating time, Makoto must do whatever it takes to prevent a terrible future that cannot be reversed.

Makoto is een typisch tienermeisje dat meestal maar wat rondhangt met haar vrienden. Op een dag is ze onderweg naar haar tante en wordt ze in alle haast bijna aangereden door een trein.
