Young and talented, teenage gymnast Sunshine is admired by her fellow aspiring athletes as she prepares to compete for a spot on the national team. Her lifelong dream of making it to the Olympics and earning a college scholarship is suddenly threatened when she discovers she is pregnant. Overcome by fear but still determined to pursue her dream, Sunshine contemplates abortion. In her search for abortifacients, she encounters a mysterious girl who eerily talks and thinks just like her. This unsettling meeting shakes Sunshine to her core, as the girl challenges her decisions and forces her to confront her fears, ambitions, and the gravity of her choices.
The poignant performance of rising star Maris RACAL brings the troubled athlete to life with deep emotion and authenticity. Under Antoinette JADAONE’s direction, the film delivers a powerful, nuanced portrayal of the tragic reality faced by many young women in a conservative, religious society where abortion remains virtually inaccessible.

De tienergymnaste Sunshine wordt bewonderd door haar mede-atleten terwijl ze traint voor een plek in het nationale team. Haar droom om deel te nemen aan de Olympische Spelen en een studiebeurs te behalen komt op losse schroeven te staan wanneer ze ontdekt dat ze zwanger is. Bang, maar vastbesloten haar droom na te jagen, overweegt ze abortus. Tijdens haar zoektocht naar abortiva ontmoet ze een mysterieus meisje dat op een griezelige manier haar gedachten en woorden weerspiegelt. Deze ontmoeting dwingt Sunshine haar angsten, dromen en de zwaarte van haar beslissing onder ogen te zien.
Rijzende ster Maris RACAL vertolkt de worstelende atlete met diepe emotie en authenticiteit. Onder regie van Antoinette JADAONE brengt de film een genuanceerd en krachtig beeld van de moeilijke keuzes waar jonge vrouwen voor staan in een conservatieve, religieuze samenleving waar abortus vrijwel ontoegankelijk is.
