HAUSFRAU (Alanis Bani): It’s Isa’s 25th birthday, and she finds herself at a crossroads. Two years after graduating from art school as a promising talent, she has yet to realize her ambitions. Now married to Dean, a devoted boxer, Isa feels trapped in their worn-out mobile home, weighed down by domestic life and her role as a housewife.
Reclaiming Dragons (Xiang Yu Yeung): By day, Ami, 27, works through shipping invoices in a grey Rotterdam office. By night, she transforms into MissButterfly, princess of a candyfloss kingdom where everything is perfectly pink and overwhelmingly sweet. But when a mysterious masked figure appears, she meets EmpressDragon666—a darker version of herself promising freedom through chaos.
Living in Limbo (Vera Yijun Zhou): Living in Limbo, an essay film by Vera Yijun Zhou, traces a century of Chinese migration between Ningbo and Rotterdam through the Zee family archive. Using archival photographs, contemporary footage, and projected images across ports and coastlines, the film intertwines personal memory with collective history. It portrays migration not as a single journey, but as a cyclical search for belonging, resilience, and the traces of home carried across generations.

HAUSFRAU (Alanis Bani): Isa wordt 25 en staat op een kruispunt in haar leven. Reclaiming Dragons (Xiang Yu Yeung): Overdag verwerkt Ami, 27, verzendfacturen in een grijs kantoor in Rotterdam. ’s Nachts transformeert ze in MissButterfly, prinses van een suikerspin-koningrijk waar alles perfect roze en pijnlijk zoet is. Wanneer een mysterieuze gemaskerde figuur verschijnt, ontmoet ze EmpressDragon666—een donkere versie van zichzelf die bevrijding door chaos belooft.
Living in Limbo (Vera Yijun Zhou): Living in Limbo, een essayfilm van Vera Yijun Zhou, volgt een eeuw van Chinese migratie tussen Ningbo en Rotterdam via het Zee-familiearchief. Met archieffoto’s, hedendaagse beelden en geprojecteerde beelden over havens en kusten verweeft de film persoonlijke herinnering met collectieve geschiedenis.
