Project X - The Afterparty
A chaotic teenage birthday party spirals out of control in this wild, found-footage comedy.
Three high school friends throw an out-of-control birthday party in their suburban neighborhood, aiming for social recognition but quickly losing all sense of control. The party escalates into chaos with property destruction, police intervention, and viral social media exposure. Told through a found-footage perspective, it highlights the recklessness and impulsive nature of teenage life. Amid the humor and spectacle, the film also reflects on peer pressure and the desire for acceptance.
THE AFTERPARTY
We get it. The Holiday Season has passed. The festivities are over. It’s Dry January, we’re all snowed in, you’re back behind the desk and you just wish you had one more party to look forward to. At Filmhuis Den Haag, we felt exactly the same. That’s why you’re invited to THE AFTERPARTY: a cinematic excuse to dance a little longer, at least in spirit. In January, we’re screening two ultimate party classics: The Last Days of Disco on January 21 and Project X on January 28... because the party doesn’t end until we say it does.
