The Shorts Competition presents a vibrant selection of 6 short films from Cuba, the Netherlands, Paraguay, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, and Suriname. Titles such as Alma, Bolero rojo, Once in a Body, Natimorto, Pika, and Tra Fasi showcase a wide range of styles and storytelling approaches, exploring urgent social, cultural, and political themes. The programme is followed by a panel talk with two filmmakers, and an independent jury will award the prize for Best Short Film.
De Shorts Competition presenteert een levendige selectie van 6 korte films uit Cuba, Nederland, Paraguay, Colombia, Brazilië, Peru en Suriname. Titels zoals Alma, Bolero rojo, Once in a Body, Natimorto, Pika en Tra Fasi tonen een brede variatie aan stijlen en vertelvormen en verkennen urgente sociale, culturele en politieke thema’s. Het programma wordt gevolgd door een nagesprek met twee filmmakers en een onafhankelijke jury reikt de prijs voor Beste Korte Film uit.
