Sitting in silence isn’t for Snatch (2000)—diamond heists, bare-knuckle boxing, incomprehensible accents, and the worst London weather imaginable. It’s Guy Ritchie at full speed—freeze-frames, quick cuts, tangled plotlines, chaotic names and chaotic energy. To dog lovers, expect… something.
Also join us afterward for drinks and post-film chat downstairs—we’ve got exciting plans lined up for the year and would love to hear your ideas
A fast-paced, darkly comedic crime caper, Snatch weaves together multiple interconnected storylines set in London’s seedy underworld. The film follows the chaotic pursuit of a stolen 86-carat diamond, while simultaneously chronicling the misadventures of two small-time boxing promoters who get pulled into the dangerous world of match-fixing. Featuring an eccentric cast of gangsters, thugs, and con artists — including a volatile Irish gypsy bare-knuckle boxer, a ruthless gangster known as Brick Top, and a bumbling group of would-be robbers — Snatch is a stylized, fast-talking whirlwind of violence, wit, and unexpected twists.
