film070 presents: If this is not my home... Shorts Program

September is around the corner, and even though we still have a few warm days before fall is in full swing, it seems summer is coming to an end. September is a time when many of us are returning from travels and settling back into a routine in a place we call home. 

As a bunch of migrants here at Film070, we know from experience that coming home is not always easy. The idea of home is often confusing: it can be as broad as a country or as narrow as a room. Home can be a place, a person, a feeling, a community — somewhere you can finally relax. In our lifetimes, we may acquire many “homes”, some tangible while some as elusive as dreams. 

We have made a selection of animation, documentary, and fiction short films from the Eye Filmmuseum archives exploring the different ways people create, understand, and remember homes. Come get cozy with us on Wednesday, September 9th at 19:00 in Zaal 5 at Filmhuis Den Haag.
