There she discovers that the house has a dark past and that strange, ghostly events are taking place. As she becomes increasingly entangled in secrets, it becomes clear that not everything is as it seems and that some dangers are human evil, not just supernatural.
Een jonge schrijfster trouwt met een mysterieuze aristocraat en verhuist met hem naar zijn afgelegen, vervallen landhuis in het mistige Engeland.
