Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) was in zijn schooltijd een honkbalfenomeen, maar spelen lukt nu niet meer. Verder gaat het prima met hem: hij heeft een leuke vriendin (Zoë Kravitz), werkt achter de bar in een kroeg in New York, en de honkbalclub waar hij supporter van is doet het verrassend goed in de competitie. Wanneer de punker Russ (Matt Smith) die naast hem woont vraagt of hij een paar dagen op zijn kat wil passen, krijgt Hank ineens te maken met een bonte stoet aan grimmige gangsters. Ze willen allemaal iets van hem, hij heeft alleen geen idee waarom. Hank moet alle registers opentrekken om erachter te komen wat ze willen, zonder in handen van de criminelen te vallen.

Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) was a baseball phenomenon during his school years, but he can’t play anymore. Otherwise, life is going well for him: he has a lovely girlfriend (Zoë Kravitz), works behind the bar in a New York pub, and the baseball team he supports is doing surprisingly well in the league. When Russ (Matt Smith), the punk who lives next door, asks him to look after his cat for a few days, Hank suddenly finds himself confronted with a colorful parade of grim gangsters. They all want something from him, but he has no idea what. Hank must pull out all the stops to figure out what they’re after—without falling into the hands of the criminals.
