Our programmer Thomas about Boyle:
"In the context of the 30th anniversary of Shallow Grave, we find it an excellent opportunity to zoom in on British director Danny Boyle this month, known to the general public for Trainspotting, which is getting a 4K re-release this summer. From the gritty sides of Scotland in Trainspotting to the rough futuristic vision in Sunshine: Boyle, with his particularly fast and energetic editing, belongs nowhere else but on the big screen. Whether it’s dark humor or dark themes: Boyle is a director who dares."
