ABOUT ROOTS FILM FESTIVAL
On December 12 & 13, the eighth edition of ROOTS Film Festival returns to The Hague!
A celebration of local talent, ROOTS puts filmmakers from The Hague—and for the first time this year, from Rotterdam—in the spotlight, inviting them to share their work, connect with each other, and engage directly with the audience. This is your chance to discover the city’s vibrant creative scene and experience the stories thriving right in your own backyard.
ROOTS was created by Filmhuis Den Haag to give local filmmakers a platform—and a big screen—while fostering connections and a dynamic, positive film culture in the city.
The festival is proudly supported by the Municipality of The Hague.
