Batou and Togusa investigate deadly gynoid malfunctions at LOCUS SOLUS, uncovering a conspiracy involving hacking, murder, and the infusion of human souls called “ghost-dubbing.”
When several gynoids — female sex robots — malfunction and cause the deaths of their clients, Batou and Togusa are sent to investigate the gynoid company LOCUS SOLUS. They soon uncover a conspiracy involving hacking and murder, as well as a practice called "ghost-dubbing," where gynoids are infused with human souls.
Wanneer verschillende gynoids – vrouwelijke seksrobots – defect raken en de dood van klanten veroorzaken, worden Batou en Togusa gestuurd om het gynoidbedrijf LOCUS SOLUS te onderzoeken.
