David Lynch
Blue Velvet - The Last Take
A young man’s discovery of a severed ear in a quiet suburban town plunges him into a dark world of crime and obsession, unraveling the sinister secrets hidden beneath everyday life.
Head of Programming Sophie about 'Blue Velvet':
After The Elephant Man, Lynch worked on Dune, a major studio film where he had no artistic control, resulting in an intriguing failure. Ultimately, this worked out well, as part of the agreement with producer Dino De Laurentiis guaranteed Lynch full "final cut" authority on his next project. The result was Blue Velvet, a gripping crime film that would come to define the term "Lynchian" and serve as a stepping stone to the legendary TV series Twin Peaks.
Teamleider programmering Sophie over 'Blue Velvet':
