In a remote French Alps chalet, the death of Samuel under suspicious circumstances leads to Sandra's trial and a detailed examination of their relationship.
Sandra, Samuel and their visually impaired son Daniel have been living in a remote chalet in the French Alps for a year. When Samuel is found dead under suspicious circumstances, Sandra is charged. Was his fall a fatal accident, suicide or was he pushed by his wife? In the trial that follows, their relationship is analyzed in painful detail.
The film premiered at this year's Cannes Festival and won a Palme d'Or.
